About Chris Cozens

Since 1985 Chris  has  established an international reputation as  one of the best programmers/music editors working in film and television soundtrack music production, contributing original music cues when requested.

Chris has acted as music editor and Auricle consultant as well as keyboard/computer programmer on more than 135 feature films from major Hollywood studios including Dreamworks, Warner Bros, Disney, Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox and HBO. The music scores Chris has worked on have earned 15 Academy Award® Oscar® nominations, winning on four occasions.

Chris has also met with international success producing over 130 instrumental albums for EMI and Demon as well as "library" albums for Music House, Noise Pump and EMI. He has been awarded both gold and silver album awards for sales from the BPI and has worked on many rock sessions including tracks for Elvis Costello, Terry Britten, John Parr, Harry Nilsson, and Francis Rossi. He has written songs as well as performed production and arranging duties for various record companies and publishing houses including Genie, Peer Southern and The Really Useful Group. Chris has also written advertising jingles and scripts for LBC Radio in London.

A graduate of Leeds Music College, Chris' early career included work as a session keyboard player and arranger for bands including The Johnny Mars Blues Band and Forcefield - a band that also included drummer Cozy Powell, guitarists Jan Akkerman and Ray Fenwick, vocalists Tony Martin and Graham Bonet and bassist Neil Murray.

Chris lives in the US and divides his time between  there, the Southern Alps of New Zealand's South Island and the UK - with projects including song writing; film and television music soundtrack production; and music editing, composing and writing.
