December 2009

Hi and welcome back.

December is upon us and another year has almost gone.

New this month are two slideshows featuring the amazing photography of Allan Johnston called Horses and Roaming Maniototo. You can find it in the videos section on the Zoommpro page here. Also there is a new song on the downloads page. You can find it in the ‘new material’ sections as well as the ‘song’ section.

Phar Lap Unveiling.

Earlier this month I went up to Timaru on New Zealand’s south island for the unveiling of Joanne Sullivan-Gessler’s sculpture of Phar Lap. Commissioned by the Phar Lap Trust Joanne’s work is nothing short of spectacular and has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Expect this monument to become a favourite stop on New Zealand tours very quickly. The day of the unveiling was hot and sunny and went without a hitch. As the fanfare I had composed for the occasion died away – the reaction of the gathered crown witnessing the sculpture for the first time was a very special moment.

Phar Lap Comes Home.

The post production for the documentary “Phar Lap Comes Home’ is getting underway. Principle photography has wrapped and you can see a sneak preview of the documentary that was directed by Ann-Marie Drinkell and produced by Global Image Productions here.

Cheers
