Press Release November 2012:

Dance For Me Disc Cover Front

Dance For Me: Joe Fagin. Released in January 2013.

Dance For Me is the new single from Joe Fagin, written and produced by Chris Cozens. Available from January 1, 2013 as a download from iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and most other download stores.

Joe Fagin has been a musician and singer for many years, working with some of the greatest artists in the world, including Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Spencer Davis, The Beatles and Sammy Davis Jr.

Joe had a hit record in England in 1984 with ‘That’s Living Alright’, from the TV series ‘Auf Wiedersehen, Pet’, reaching No.3 in the charts, as well as hits in France, Germany, Holland, South Africa and Sweden. He also sang the title song from the hit TV series ‘As Time Goes By’.

“You might say that I’ve been around the block a few times, so it was lovely to be considered for this track. I’ve known Chris since he was a boy! We first met in a recording studio where he had been brought in to provide programming and playing on some tracks I was recording. For such a young man, he was impressive in his knowledge and ability with all things to do with “synths”. Also, he is a very pleasant and affable man and subsequently became a good friend. So, when I received a call from him asking if I would sing a song that he had just written, I, of course, said, ‘Yes, I would be glad to’. This is ‘that song’ and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did recording it. Hopefully we will go on and make some more music in the near future”.

Chris has had his songs recorded and performed by world renowned artists, including Graham Bonet, Tony Martin and Jan Akkerman and has co-written songs with Mike Hurst, Cozy Powell and Ray Fenwick, among others. ‘Dance For Me’ is the latest song from Chris, who is delighted to be working with Joe Fagin once again, having provided keyboards for Joe’s theme from ‘As Time Goes By’.

Other News:

2012 proved to be a busy year, with film scores for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and ‘The Hunger Games’ – both for James Newton Howard – ‘Private Peaceful’ and ‘Still Life’ for Rachel Portman, ‘Pirates, Band of Misfits’ for Teddy Schapiro, and finally ‘Rise Of The Guardians’ for Alexandre Desplat. 2013 looks to be even busier, with three films already being discussed; Dance For Me released in January; a new crossover album with Zulu singing and dancing in the spring; and a new instrumental chillout album ‘Into Paradise’ set for an autumn release. I’ll also be writing and producing new songs with various artists, including Joe Fagin.
