This has been a year of mixed emotions. A little over two months ago Michelle and I finally married after first meeting 31 years ago.
It’s six months to the day since my Dad died. A stockmarket legend whose reporting of the markets was required reading, it was amazing to hear from so many friends who had followed his columns without realising we were related. There were some wonderful tributes, one of which you can read here.
I have recorded two scores with Rachel Portman this year – The Vow, to be released on Valentine’s Day, 2012, and One Day, which has been a huge summer hit both here in the US as well as around the world.
Chloe turns 21 this month, time really does fly. Here she is with her grandparents at their favourite spot in Glenorchy at the top of the beautiful Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand.
I have finally got my studio as I want it with a Pro Tools HD3 upgrade to the new PCIe cards in a new MacPro. It’s been good to get back to some sustained writing and recording. As well as writing I am currently producing an album for the wonderful Barry Hopkins.
….it was a real thrill to go and meet and hear Paul Williams in the very special & intimate setting of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame here in Cleveland. A master songwriter and story teller, he is also a lovely man.
The weather can’t make up its mind here, autumnal chill or summer heat?
Until next time. Chris Cozens. September 21, 2011.
